Showcase Sunday at Dragons Lair Designs!

Another Showcase Sunday at Dragons Lair Designs including a fabulous freebie!  I am using "Blue Rhapsody" scrapbook layout so quick to pop two photos on and journal your info and memories saved so beautifully!  I used some "new old" relatives from the releases from the British Museum that are copyright free.  I really like showing how easy it is for busy Mom's or anyone to still be able to scrapbook and keep all those details in writing because at my age LOL I have forgotten some details (just a few!).

Hop on over to the Dragons Lair Designs Inspiration Blog and see what Janette has in store for you today!  She is keeping us surprised with all these fabulous kits to play with! And please check out our links below for all of our plans and the teams projects.  Our Challenge is still running and it is "Anything Goes" come on and play with us!

May Challenge is Here at Dragons Lair Designs

Time to come play again with us at our challenge at Dragon's Lair Designs and our theme is "Working Women".  This is as we women know means ALL women!  So we want to see your interpretation of this theme be as creative as you want that is what it is all about!

I used the Florence Kit and it is soooo pretty and vintage and elegant looking. So many fun ways to use it but I  am in the hospital with my Mom with limited resources so a digital make in her honor is what I  have today.

We do hope you will come let us visit your blog and be inspired by your make. You can find the challenge HERE just drop off at the linky.

And please check out all our fabulous Dragons Lair Designs links below for fun inspiration and of course, SHOPPING ;)

May Challenge at Lost Coast Portal to Creativity

Our theme this month is #24 Splash of Color (use a neon or bright color) at Lost Coast Designs and we hope everyone who played in April will join us again this month!  And thanks to all who did play and let us visit their blogs and be inspired by them (that's YOU) :)  So get your neon/brights on and get inky and messy! One little reminder....please make sure your makes have rubber stamping on them. A sentiment stamped works great if you have a digital image you really want to use!

I just love this stamp so vintage and I had the luck of catching the library book sale and got a "Modern Business Speller" copyright 1901 with handwritten study notes so of course I had to stamp "Spread Your Wings and Fly"  on a page from the book.  She looks like she wouldn't have been at home at a typewriter but who knows?

You know the next bit..it is your turn to show us what you can splash some color on and we can't wait to see so jump HERE and enter!  Please check out the Portal linky below as we have some wonderful events coming up..shhh! I didn't say a word!

May's Challenge at Rhedd's Creative Spirit

I saw and swooned over the Pebeo paint line long after it had first come out...behind as usual!  I
found a bargain on the Moon and Prism starter set and have had them for months with just one little play with them for a make for this challenge, ironic :)  This time I started with one idea on an old outdated key holder and had mermaids swimming in my head and this happened:

I had to get my son to photo and edit it for me the shine and shimmer is unreal on this thing!  I did the background and used a bunch of colors and let them swirl a bit and then the paint did it's magic!  I free handed a mermaid shape on acrylic paint paper and put the paints adding some red for her hair. I also added some gold mica flakes to her tail then let dry and cut her out and glued her to the background. The some pretty blue beads, the "water bubbles", and shells from my beach in Alabama. I absolutely love her!  I so wish it would photo better but the amount of shine going on is crazy! I know it looks like my photography work :) but I promise my son who has a photography book published and had a photo of his used in another author's book for the cover (yes, bursting with pride, old Mom is!) took this one!

Come play with us at Rhedd's Creative Spirit this month!  We have such a good time!
